I've been working on a new avatar over the summer.. I started it in like June and stopped after a couple of days. In case no one realizes, this is on the cover of the original World of Warcraft. Obviously...it's not finished, and I haven't gotten to the Night Elf's hair yet or the rest of it, as you can tell. My plan is to finish the elf, do a forest background and the lettering. Crits would be real nice at this stage, please. 1st: The pyramid was a pic of a real pyramid. :wink: 2nd: Not very good? :( (tell me what do I need to add) Sharpen the edges of the Pyramid, it's extremely pixelly, I don't know if you can tell or not. 2nd, I don't know what would help it, it just doesn't look good to me, is all. I don't like the water, it doesn't really look like water. And the rays looked good on the other moreso than on this one. idk lol

Fail. Just kidding xD, but the font could use a little bit of work, imo, and to me that doesn't even loko like the hulk, but w/e.

I don't like the pyramid, it's look really pixelly. And I don't lke the font all that well. I like this one, but again, don't like the font. It's my favorite, of the three. No comment. =;

At first, I thought you copied and pasted arrows from RuneScape and the Spartans (I guess?) were just blocking them with their shields...When I saw that it was protect from range, I laughed a little bit. It's not a bad idea. Is the text supposed to be coming from the same source, or the white text one person and the black text another? If that's the case, I think it would be less confusing if they were different fonts. Otherwise, whatever.

I love the colors...Normally I'd expect something like that to be colored badly, it's very nice to see that you didn't do that. It looks nice, but the blade is kinda crooked compared to its hilt....(hilt: |_| blade: /_/ well, something like that....maybe it's just me o.0)

You know, I think it would look a lot better if you had the purple Dharok, blown up, in the middle, with his face between the axes. And the text at the bottom middle. The signature looks off-balanced with what you have, and extremely unbelievably plain on the second one. Just my two cents...Also, the axes look so weird. The blade is so freaking huge and the hilt ( I guess?) seems so small compared to it.

I really like the second b&w toolbox photo, the first is too crouded, imo and the other aren't that great.

I don't really like the eyes, they look as if she can look two directions at once, and she's demonstrating that in this piece. (it looks like she's doing this: <.> which is weird to say the least and a very rare ability). Also, her left hand is oddly positioned. Why is it clenched? I'd say it should either be holding a shield or be resting on her leg. I'm glad you changed the hair from purple...I like the realistic hair color much much better.

Just a little proportion edit. Your person is too large and short. The bow, just firing an arrow, should be somewhat bent and the string should also resemble this. His arms are misproportioned as well, being one longer than the other. The signature is way too bland overall, I would suggest having some people fighting in the background. I would also recommend putting in some grass and using darker soil. Castle Wars isn't a desert, right? The bricks are just lines, no shading=no depth=fake looking.

Ok, seriously, you don't need to put so many samples on unfinished work.. Not a lot of people want to rip unfinished sigs :lol:

I like the white surrender flag, but it's kinda too bright, and out of proportion, but whatever. Neat idea but could use some work.

Lol. I beleive they're called sprites. And they're not bad except the skin color is way off on the Guthans guy, but I'm not suggesting a change, I'm just filling you in. :mrgreen: Btw, the only ones that look somewhat good are the one in action poses, the people that are just standing still look developmentally delayed. :wink:

Well, they're kind of pointless, but next time, try saving the file as .PNG instead of JPG/JPEG. :wink:
