tripsis
Well technically the fastest way is to buy the ingredients and make the best potion you can at the current time. Could you tell us what level you are at now? A common method used is to buy unidentified herbs. Identify them and sell the ones you don't want. Keep good herbs like Ranarr, for example, and make prayer potions. Sell them for profit (hopefully) and rinse and repeat! Or you could even grow your own herbs and buy vials/seconds. Herblore is a tricky skill. It's easier to help you if we know what level you are now, what level you want to get, and what kind of budget you have. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

tripsis
I must warn you, 99 herblore is very challenging and expensive. It requires a fair bit of patience. For now, I'd recommend just buying unids. Identify the ones you can and sell the ones you can't (say like "selling unids over Ranarr" so you can get more profit off of them). Then buy or collect seconds and make potions. Once you can make prayer pots, it gets a little easier, since they're fairly easy to sell. Whenever you can, try to swap potions for ingredients.. It's basically free experience. In terms of cost, I'd say that buying unids and making potions/selling herbs you don't need is your best bet. It's a little slower than just buying specific herbs and making high level potions, but it's not as costly. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
mario_sunny
You could try the sq'irk minigame, it gives lots of high level herbs. You could get really good at one garden and get lots of herbs fast. I usually get 3-5 rannars each round on the summer, I'm not sure about your thieving level though. :| By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
Gugge
If you are low on cash, try to avoid buying too much from other players. Make sure to use miscellania, max investment in herbs and the rest in maple. This is the cheapest way to "buy" herbs. Sell the maple logs, sell the birds nests, use the tree seeds you can and sell the rest. Use money to reinvest in miscellania. Do level your farming, the tree seeds from miscellania is ideal for that. One very good way to get herbs for a reasonable price is to buy (or steal) herb seeds and grow them into herbs. When it comes to second ingredients, your house is very important. To collect snape grass, move your house to relekka and collect snape on lunar island. To collect Mort Myre fungi, a Kharyll portral and an altar in house helps a *lot*. Remember that vials are sold in general shop in Ardounge and Shilo for exampel. Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)
hohto
From my own experience, farming is a great way to get cheap herbs. With the average of 7 herbs, you'll make a lot of profit from herbs like ranarrs or snapdragons. Few hundred extra herbs per day for sure won't hurt your dreams of 99 herblore. Check my guide if you need more info about farming. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm
