i cant really find anywhere which is reasonably quick to mine gold/silver except in the great tree which is quite awkward to bank! any suggestions?

The Crafting Guild.

Gold - best place is the azarnian (sp) mines (the place in the dwarf quest where you are shot out of a cannon).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Silver - personally, I think the dorgeshun mines (if you've at least started Recipe for Disaster and have the basement bank chest).

I like the crafting guild because you can start in fally, craft 25 ess into airs, then mine gold/silver, then smelt it, then do whatever else to it, then tele to fally, sell it to the gen. store, then repeat.

the crafting guild is a good spot

Balloon to crafting guild from castlewars, mine, duelling ring back to castlewars, repeat.

I heard the gold mine norht of brimhaven dungeon is the fastes way, with fairy rings and wisthle (from holy grail quest)

the Crafting Guild has a pottery oven and not a smelting furnace.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Are you sure that you can smelt ore in it?
