I'm assuming your talking about melee armour. As if defensive value, barrows but they require money to repair. Best armour with no repairs is 3rd age plate armour.

1. When you start, it's a lot easier to level up your stats as a member anyways.

4. depends on your preference, if you want power go with 2h, if you want speed go with scimmy, if you want in between, go with a long.

 

 

 

5. again, your preference, crossbow you can wield a shield, long gives you longer range, short gives you the option of rapid fire

 

 

 

6. barrows is the best armor but you need 70 defence to wear it

 

 

 

EDIT: totally spaced out 3rd Age Armor, but its very expensive to buy and very rare to find.
