I am a level 83 combat, with (soon to be) 58 mage and (soon to be)53 range. I am wondering what my best bet would be to do, like loading up on prayer pots versus using really good food, use magic or just melee them, what armour to wear, stuff like that.

At lv 83 combat i suggest you still use mage for all fights. Get magic to 59 first. You might want to wear full mystic when fighting. Each of them has a elemental weakness so just take advantage of it.

your mage worries me at your level. I doubt your up to the challenge by the sounds of things, get a friend whos done it to help you, you'll need it.

Oh, and does my low level mean I could get away with using ancients while staking?

First like they said do get your magic to 59 or a bit higher (think I did it at 61, and at a lower combat level)

get the max mage level you can, but don't use fire blast if you're only 59 mage...its pointless for kamil, you will get your mage lowered every 5 seconds, and wont be able to use it.

use pray pots+ chaos gaunlets and correct spel for al of them using a combination of monk robes and mystic hat gloves boots and a glory

use p pots and mage them all i didnt even use range when i beat it and on kamil use fire bolt and p pots and restore pots
