plz help me out here

when you save it save it as a PNG by goin right below were you name it and it will say "save as" and you click the arrow and you select PNG from the list.

*scroll bar that probably says .bmp

 

 

 

*choose .png

 

 

 

*type name of document it specified field

my computer doesnt give me the option of png... is there a program that does it?

Update to Windows XP, I had same problem as you on my 98, updated and there was no problem.

If your using paint, some people can just type in *.png when saving and it will actually save it as a png file, even though its not selected in the 'file type' thing.

 

 

 

Though I'm not sure if this works for everyone.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If that doesn't work, try doing a google search for 'image convertor', and maybe include 'png' to your search. There should probably be free programs out there that can convert image types for ya (I'm sure download.com has a bunch)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Or, you can post the image here and we can convert it for you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And as a last resort, you can download/buy programs (such as Photoshop or Gimp) that can convert it for you very easily, and also be helpful for all your other graphical needs ;) But this is kinda wastefull if all you're going to do is convert images to .png

Yes in windows xp you can save as *.PNG in paint.
