Gold_Tiger10
Thats the symbol for Multi-Combat Zones. When you see the symbol, your in a Multi-Combat Zone. When in a Mulit-Combat Zone you can attack multiple Monsters/Players at the same time, and vise versa. There are some areas where a group of players can gang up against a single monster. At the same time, lots of monsters can gang up against a single player. These areas are called multi-combat areas; a pair of crossed swords will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen to indicate that you are in this kind of area. The wilderness is not an exception, as player teams can engage unwary adventurers who happen to be in such an area. So be on guard next time you plan on exploring the wilderness! here! skeroh
this is used a lot for teaming the kq and dag kings and boss monsters, and for guild wars in the wild. Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)

Doomster
Multicombat wilderness is especially dangerous, as while multiple monsters rarely attack (unless it's an "assist" such as with the Al-Kharid guards), multiple players in clans can and do attack simultaneously, or in pairs such as a binding mage and a melee killer. Agunimon979
Beware the dot of death! Whenever in the wilderness if you see someone a high level just standing there, right click on them, it is a popular clan technique. The whole high leveled clan stands in one area, and when someone goes buy it's like bees. they all buzz out of the hive and own you pl0x
