Increasing combat Lvl?

Can someone tell me if training your Ranged or Magic skills will increase your combat lvl? And i want to know if i can switch my Gold Trimmed female Rune Pl8 to a Male gold trimmed plate.

it will if your melee isn't your highest skill, and you need to be a male for a male gold trimmed rune plate

If you are melee based.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Like If you have..50 atk, and 30 range etc. You are melee based. If you are range or mage based, say..80 mage/range and 30 def, you are mage/range based.

Thanks! Well, my Def is 60 and my atk and str is 1, so i guess i'm melee based ;D.

I dont think thats right.

 

 

 

If your att and str added together is MORE than you magic or ranged lvl times 1,5 then you are Melee based (meaning your combat is based on ur att/str + def/hp + pray), otherwise you are Mage or ranged based - depends on which of the who is highest.

 

Mage/ranged based means your combat is based on magic/ranged + hp/def + pray.
