mixand
i think i was downloading something on bitcomet that caused it, or a forum i was looking at (not tif) and my left mouse button didn't work anymore, click and nothing happened, i got here by using keyboard mouse. im afraid i have a bad virus or something. it would be great if someone could help "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. Doomster
It could be worn out (yes, I have worn out a button, though it was on my old trackerball). Can you hear it click? If cordless, they can react oddly for some time if the batteties are getting weak. Can't think WHY any virus/malware would block mouseclicks, these days, the most common want to "OWN" you without being noticed.
Cruiser
More than likely ust a bad button as Doomster said. A virus that blocks clicks is an amazing waste of time compared to what someone could actually do with your infected machine. :?
nulled
If you can hear click and see it going down and up normally check from control panel if its disabled or something. Why would any virus remove it??? I don't recommend illegal download programs what does break copyright! (movies, mp3, games etc..(freeware downloads is Legal))
dwarfie76
More likely a busted mouse button as the erstwhile posters above have suggested. Easy way to tell for sure is either a) plug your mouse into someone else's machine and see if you have the same problem or B) plug another mouse into your machine and see if you have the same problem. nulled
Still wierd... Virus that disable mouse... Waste of time... I have seen virus what does disable / control taskmgr[Caution: Executable File] what makes it harder to delete the virus.
Kinslayer777
It's quite possible it wasn't the virus...He didn't give information, maybe, maybe, a temporary mechanical twitch. We don't know the mechanism of that mouse, how it's built. Who knows, connection problem that "fixed" -weird things happen occasionally with hardware.
