TheChamp
I am going to re-format my computer and I was wondering if there was a way to save the music on itunes/ipod so that after I re-format my computer all the songs won't be deleted from itunes and my ipod. blade995
You could always burn them all to a dvd, or a few if you have a lot of music. Itunes will even do it for you. Go to File>back up to disk.

zeekyhbomb
Well, if you keep the songs on your iPod then I know it will work. My friend did this, before you install iTunes it only reads the iPod as an external Hard Drive. What you need to do it open it up as the Hard Drive that it is being read as, and copy the songs from it onto your computer. Then install iTunes and put all of the songs from from the iPod back into it. It should work, just check 'My Computer' when you connect the iPod. Cruiser
Winamp along with a couple other media players have had the ability to rip songs back of the iPod for quite a while now. I only mention Winamp because that's all I use but I'm sure you can find others with the same functionality. (This is assuming you use Windows, since you didn't specify)

Not very nice if you have 3000+ songs.. :-k
