Football Manager 2007

Are their any players of this on these forums.

 

 

 

If you dont know what it is, its a football management sim where you manager footall teams around the worldin hundreds of different divisions (hence the name football manager)

 

 

 

Over in North america (and probably australia but i dunno) it is called Worldwide Soccer manager.

 

 

 

I have phases of being completely addicted to it and im going through one now.

 

 

 

Im just wanting to see if anyone else plays it and if they do then ill show some screens from my game and stuff.

Love the series. Been playing since CM 93/94, stuck with Sports Interactive when they lost the "Championship Manager" brand, currently playing Football Manager 2007 as Derby, top of the premiership :lol:

 

 

 

It's unbelievably smart now, the AI. I know people (cough not me :anxious: ) who used to wear suits to FA Cup final days on their network games. Ha, the losers! Erm... :oops:

 

 

 

My most successful tenure was in CM 00/01 as Wycombe. Just won everything year in, year out. It got to a stage where Michael Owen was my assistant, Fowler was my chief scout, and a player I signed at 13 (Mark Tobin) had ammassed over 1000+ games at the age of 40 odd.

Ive only been playing since 03/04 but ive bought them all since (the SI ones. Right now im in 2020 season on it and after managing a few big clubs ive gone to leeds to try and revive them. Managed to scrape a Inter toto cup spot by beating liverpool on rhe final day of season (and denying them the premiership - mybad).

my most successfull period would be with Southampton on CM03/04 (i also sided with SI games after the split) but it would turn out to be most disapointing.

 

 

 

I was top of the league by 1 point, the day of the season i against Manchester City. The second placed team (Manchester United) was against Aston Villa. Manchester united drew there game, but i lost 3-0. I lost the league title on goal diffrence by only 2 goals. I was also in the FA cup and EUFA cup finals, i lost the FA cup to Leeds and the EUFA cup against Blackburn.

 

 

 

I still havnt won the Premiership with Southampton.

Just into my second season with leeds but started badly only drawing at home against blackburn 3- 3 :o .

 

 

 

My most sucessful time with one club was getting bury into europe - finished 9th in prem with them but was in cos of fairplay and national cups being won by champs league teams. I couldn't go much further with them though because they were stuck with a 12000 stadium

I just never got into them though...but if you bring some nub team to Champions League, be sure to buy me, I'm in Helsingborgs IF in Sweden.

I don't mind, I think the privacy rule is stoopid.

 

 

 

I heard somewhere that you could choose between playing with ALOT of players and just some (the best I suppose). And I'm only in the game when ALL player mode is chosen. If you've started a season you might look for me in...I think it's TrollhÃÆÃâÃâättan or Falkenberg in Sweden, they supposedly end up buying me most of the time :P

 

 

 

Good luck, I'm a central midfielder, and nothing else, so don't play me as anything else...except perhaps striker, I like goals ;)

Ah, I get you, large or huge database. You could well be on my game, though, because I've selected the biggest database you can play with.
