Pangus
Alright well i use Linksys wireless internet and i have a Very good connection with a 38-54 Mbps rate. This is where my internet would normally be running very fast and i can play any game i want and have no lag what so ever. Now though even though i have this good connection..my internet is terribly slow. I'm think that means it has something to do with the modem? Or possibly the provider? Any ideas on what to check and what not? And the it sometimes [bleep]es and the internet becomes fast..but mostly slow.
Chris
54Mbps is your local wireless speed. The speed at which you can transfer data between PCs that are also connected to the same network. The internet is connected to your network but has a modem to communicate to the outside world and this will be a much slower speed unless you've paid for a specifically high speed modem and service. If that's not clear, go to wikipedia or something and read up. Notoriously Trollish.
