May 17, 200719 yr If money is no object, obviously adamant arrows are the weapon of choice. But if I'm on a budget, which arrow should I choose? What arrow gives the most bang for the buck? Thanks in advance. I hope this helps other rangers as well. Still enjoying RuneScape?
May 17, 200719 yr Since bronze arrows have almost caught up with iron in price... ouch... your best bet would be probably iron, generally 20-25 each. Steel is 30-40 each, and raises your max hit by one, I believe. But yeah, bronze through steel is best. I generally use irons and go back to the Stronghold of Security and kill minotaurs if I ever need more. Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
May 17, 200719 yr If money is no object, obviously adamant arrows are the weapon of choice. But if I'm on a budget, which arrow should I choose? What arrow gives the most bang for the buck?... A few things to think about... 1) If you hunt monsters that drop a lot of arrows (SoS minotars) then you just use what comes your way. 2) If you pick up your arrows then you can get about 4x use out of them. That makes a big difference overall. To get all of your arrows in the loot pile, cast a Curse on the monster first and then wait for it to walk over to your safe spot before starting to shoot. 3) The max damage by arrow type and Range level is about Bronze = (Range+14)/9 Iron = (Range+15)/9 Steel = (Range+14)/8 Mith = (Range+13.5)/7.5 Addy = (Range+16)/7 Rune = (Range+18)/6 4) Shooting style Accurate increase max hit by 1 but is slower. 5) Shooting style Long Range gives Defense exp. 6) You earn Range exp according to HitDone*4 when using arrows. (Cannon gives exp according to HitDone*2) 7) The number of arrows you need, (if you pick up 75% of them), to reach the next level is about ArrowsNeeded = ExpNeeded/(8*maxhit) Hope this helps
