Eliminator10
Hey everybody. I was browsing the internet, and I came to the subject of hooking your monitor to your computer through a DVI cable. Numerous websites claimed that the DVI cables deliver a clearer picture. So I said to myself, might as well give it a shot, and I pulled out my DVI cable, hooked it up, and it started beautifully. The problem is, when it got to the portion where windows is loading, the signal was lost. If I'm desperate, I'll just change back to the other cables, but I would really prefer if I could get this working. Also, I did restart it a few times - with no success. Some say to change it so the DVI is my primary display. My question is, if that doesn't work, how am I to change it back? Thanks!
lordkafei
My monitor is connected to my Windows XP box by a DVI cable. And yes, it is a much clearer picture using the DVI cable. I assume your video card has both VGA and DVI connectors, as well as your monitor. What are your video card and monitor, please? Mercifull
On regular monitors there really isnt any difference in quality between a VGA cable and DVI. Unless you have a huge monitor or are connecting it to a HDTV then VGA is more flexible. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape.
