May 25, 200719 yr So I'm thinking of becoming a member (at least for a brief time i.e. 3 months) and I have a few nagging questions I need to have answered before I try to convince my parents. 1. When your membership expires and you had a POH built and then return at a later time, is the POH is gone or is it saved on file? 2. When your membership expires do you keep only 60 items (or whatever the f2p limit is) in the bank and the rest are removed, the whole bank wiped of member items or what? 3. Considering the short time and the likely chance of becoming a f2per again for a while after that, what could I do to get the most out of my member experience and still have (done) some useful stuff in the end? Specifically: -What quests do you recommend? -What mini-games should I try? -What skills should I devote my time to (I already know agility is useful post-membership)? (Note: I'm level 75 combat and can pretty much qualify for most non-member skill requiring quests) 4. When membership expires are member's songs/music still accessable? 5. Can quests I was in the middle in be resumed when I resubscribe? 6. Lastly, any tips at convincing my parents to allow me to get membership (i.e. steps, things to read, etc)? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated as I would like to try get membership by the end of the month.
May 25, 200719 yr 1. It is saved 2. You keep all your items, but you cannot store any more other then what is already in unless you have less then the 60 items. 3. Take advantage of the superior skill training in p2p, and train skills that are hard to train in f2p, such as prayer. You could also fiddle with p2p skills a little, and do some quests (earn capes you can be proud of, such as fire or legends, although getting that many qp/stats in a short time would be difficult). Agility is useful, and do whatever quests give a lot of xp. Try all the minigames, and if you like one stick with it. Remember, the idea is to have fun as a member, not get as much as you possibly can done. 4. I think so (not sure) 5. Yes 6. Tell them it'll keep you occupied, and sharpen your reflexes... tell them to read the Parent's Guide on the main RS website. (Note: I'm level 75 combat and can pretty much qualify for most non-member skill requiring quests) Quests that are beneficial to beginning members include Lost City, Druidic Ritual, Family Crest, Heros Quest, Legends Quest, etc.. Later you may want to try more rewarding and harder quests. As for mini-games I suggest Barberian Assult (gives no exp), and Pest Control. Pest Control is a popular mini-game for pures, and anyone who wants to train their skills. Although, it is most enjoyable if you are with people of a rather high combat level and skill. Castle Wars is also fun, but I believe it has lost some popularity since I last played. Skills to devote time to include agility, rcing, combat stats (range/mage specifically), fletching (stock up on arrows), wcing (maples), and fishing. There are others you can try, but in my opinion the suggested are most beneficial when your membership ends. Have fun as a member, and enjoy yourself. :) PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape

May 28, 200719 yr Author One more question. In subscription terms what is a "month" (Is it a month from when you start the subscription or is it at the beginning or end of the month? Lasting 4 weeks? 5 weeks? etc.) ?
May 29, 200719 yr For point 2, remember the "going to F2P with a full bank" guide. Unless YOU cut yourbank down to 60 items or less, only items which already have a placeholder there can be banked. This has several effects on a well ordered ex-member bank: * You need 2 of every piece of equipment you use, and 1 of everything you might want to bank later. * Items which cannot be doubled up (eg. random event stuff) cannot be re-banked if taken out - full sets could be left in a cosume room (house) for safety. * You would do well to have at least 29 of every non-stacking bulk item at all times, and be very careful when withdrawing noted. * A careless "withdraw all" of stackable or noted items, can screw up the arrangement - just think of being stuck with millions of gp unbankable. Point 3: Nats, nats, more nats ... did I say nats? - actually, any rune that is useful in F2P but cannot be made there. Point 6: You meet a better class of player (usually) in members. If you have level targets, you won't need to play as long (that's what YOU say) to reach them.
May 30, 200719 yr about the bankspace in F2P, if you only got a few days of membership left try to have a banksale of membersstuff you don't need any more
