What gives the most XP for the least amount of bars? And can you give me which one is best for iron and steel?

all items give the same amount of xp/per bar. the only difference is the selling/alching price. for example, (not counting smelting), all mith bars give 50xp/bar, so a longsword gives 100xp, while a platebody gives 250xp.

Well, if you want to alch make pl8 bodies. If not, make iron throwing knifes (you will be able to train ranged even not picking them up) and from steel... Still pl8s.

What gives the most XP for the least amount of bars?

 

For smelting and smithing you earn and average of:

 

Iron: 6.25, 25

 

Steel: 17.5, 37.5

 

Mith: 30, 50

 

 

 

The better metals give more exp per bar

 

but each bar gives the same smithing exp when used to make

 

swords, plate, legs, shields, etc.

 

 

 

And can you give me which one is best for iron and steel?

 

Smithing Iron bars give 25

 

Smithing Steel gives 37.5

 

 

 

If you smelt and smith then it will take:

 

an average of 2 iron ore to make 1 iron bar.

 

and 3 ore (2 coal and 1 iron) to make 1 steel bar.

 

 

 

So, for 1 trip to the furnace you will average 14 iron bars or 9 steel bars.

 

That's 87.5 average exp doing iron or 157.5 exp doing steel.

 

 

 

Most players prefer to make steel plate since you use up 5 bars at a time

 

so it's a bit faster than lower level items.

 

Also, plate hi-alchs for the most for any given smithed metal.
