that exploding planet look A LOT like a tutorial i saw by alyn on DA....:?

but if you did make it without the tutorial good job.

Space scenes are a hard thing to grasp, so its always a good thing to look at a tutoral at first.

and if you saying using them are no0b, well i used them when I started space, and sometimes if i'm currious about something i'll still read through one to get the general idea, and i seen to have learned from them.

And yes, they are tutorials off of alyn's page, i recomended them To him.

Hmm..few things I see that I know you can improve upon-

*Exploding planet's brightness needs to be shown upon the second planet as well. The other planet is too dark for being so close to something at that level of brightness. Show a light source using that.

*Starfield looks a little awkward, the blue and the white dont look too well together. It looks kind of as if you messed up while colorizing the stars or something. Also, try to add a nebula, or some lensflares to make it look less empty.

*Non-exploding planet really needs some work. It actually looks as if it's going inward rather than outward. Also it's too dark for the scene as said already. Try brightening it up some (control+m on ps7 would help add some brightness). Also add some atmosphere (outer/inner glows on the planet) (if you have, try to make it more visible cause it's a bit hard to see).

There are a few other things, but I really can't give a thorough explaination. I understand it's your first scene, I am just trying to help you out a bit. Keep up the good work, I am sure you'll be making good scenes soon enough :).
