hmm.. Starcraft : Broodwars - I think this game is Blizzard's most successful game as of yet. It came out in 1998ish and it's still going strong. I must say, probably my favorite game of all time. Quake 1 - The FPS that I actually played for a while (had played duke nukem 3d previously, but the multiplayer option wasn't too impressive.) Not PC games, but-- Phantasy Star 4 - Probably my favorite game on Genesis. The game had a really good plot, and just really fun gameplay. Not to mention the fact it was really good for its time. Earthbound - Most unique game ever. The only thing I didn't like about it was the fact you dont see anything in the battle scenes cept the monsters, but the game itself was awesome. I loved the graphics personally :P

WIP: -Space Scene- (dedication to the new media thingy)
KakashiX replied to princessa9's topic in Art and Media
Space scenes in .gif = nasty, especially if you use many colors. Makes it way too grainy and low quality. I am assuming you're using photoshop, when you save, go to file>save for web then choose JPG and maximum quality. That's all you really need to do in terms of saving the picture. *The overall pic looks very grainy. I think maybe you made too many layers for the stars? Tone it down some, by using the contrast and brightness thing. Or you could just take out any extra layers that you may have put. *On the rings, set the layer mode to screen or lighten. There is black between the rings which makes it look bad. This will get rid of the blackness and allow you to see the stars behind it. *Nebula- I would recommend NEVER setting the opacity of a nebula less then 100 if you've got a bright spot on it like the bottom one. (Exceptions for this would be if you're setting duplicates of the nebula to other blending modes for effect.) *On the planet- The outer glow shouldn't be on the black part. Make a new layer and merge the glow layer onto it so that it's a layer without the effects on it. Then you can erase the glow on the black side. The planet itself isn't too bad, but if can use some color and more texture. Also, the planet isn't very visible because of the rings. Also, on the outer rim of the planet, it's very pixely and you can see parts that go inward (looks like you erased into it or something). Try to fix that with the elliptical marquee tool and stuff. *For the starfield, try adding some small lensflares, use different sizes and colors for them to give it a more varied look. Don't simply use the flares also, try to brush them some so they don't seem too repetitive. That's most of it. Good luck :). -
(White one looks like this in case you can't see it) Bigger Version if you need

RSN: Kakashi X4 Thanks JLR, who is kingzaro anyways? I've got many people that said stuff like that to me :?

There we go. *Made the orange/red colors on tree yellow, so they all look like lemons. *Added a little sparkly thing on the 'i' on the name *Added the lemons so that it seems more like a lemon tree. *Moved the text a bit to the left. Tell me if you need any other changes.
-
Which version would you rather me work with?
-
I like the first one more of the two because the Drop shadow on the second's border doesn't look good with that sig. *You need to work on the text, i can't tell whether it's anti-aliased or not, and because of that it looks really choppy. Anti-alias it, probably gives you an option at the top. Also find more fonts for yourself so you can get more variety and more options for which font to use on the sig. That one isn't too fitting. *Bg is a bit shaky. Try to stay away from filtering as much as you can (looks like you used kaleidoscope filter on psp). *Maybe another color scheme? that yellowish color doesn't look too appealing. *Quality looks like it got downed a lot, either that or you blurred and sharpened areas to make it look fuzzish and then pixelyish (dunno what word to use on that one) That's the jist of it. Keep it up and experiment a lot. Practice makes perfect :P. PS---You going to buy that sig I made you or should i put it up for auction?

Two versions, had a little different idea. Has your tree and stuff, but it's not entirely on a hill, hope that's okay :).
-
i'll enter this

Alright, I'll sell you it, went to do homework/take a nap so I couldn't reply that fast :P. Kb, next time try to put variation in the water, cause the clone job is pretty crappy :P, plus, you screwed the quality up. Do you want me to put Iamannoyed in smaller letters somewhere else? Cause having such a small name will make it easier to rip as shown by Kb. RSN is Kakashi X4

Tell me if you need any changes.

What do you need me to change with mine?
-
Two versions, one has the text standing out more. If it's still too dark tell me and I'll lighten it up.

Those are size dimensions in pixels, I am referring to kilobytes, like how on this forum you can't have sigs over 30,000 bytes. Is there anything like that for the banner?
