12pure34
My friend just told me that I can use 2 crystal bows. 1x 10/10 and another one.. 'a decaying bow'. If I'd shoot 240 shots with the 10/10 bow and then switch to x/10. The x/10 would degrade (after the 250th shot). Does this actually work. That I can basicly shoot thousands of shots with a 10/10 (for max ranged bonus) and let another bow degrade for it?
primadog
yes. What you described is exactly how it worked. The bug is that the cbow counter is on the player, not on the bow itself. The game basically counts down on the player from 250, when it hits 0, it decay whichever bow you're using on that shot, regardless of what bow you have used for the last 249 shots. Enjoy :) All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it
12pure34
Is it a usefull one. As you will have to count your shots. And in a lot of cases you won't. Or you lose count. Or whatever reason. Is this used? And is it easy to use?
primadog
it's a useful one because the range bonus from a 10/10 bow is best in the game. Many players that count on efficiency uses it (although I have yet to try it, not a range fan). If you don't enjoy counting, just switch after ten minutes of shotting. It's usually pretty close by then. All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it
aglips
I also used to use this trick when I killed blue dragons. It usually degrades after a full load of blue d hides and bones. So what I did was switch bows b4 I killed the 14th drag. Then when the bow degrades, I switch to the 10/10 bow. You just have to count or keep track the first few times it degrades to figure out when it degrades.
Arambul
This is very useful. For some reason, I sold my bows but I used this trick when I had them. Whatever monster you're killing it with, count the number of shots it takes to kill each one, and get that average number. Then see how many you can kill within 250 shots and take away 1 or 2. For instance, if you can kill a greater demon in let's say, 20 shots average, you can kill about 12 greater demons in 250 shots. To be safe, take one of those off, so 11 greater demons, then switch to the 'trick bow.'
