umm how do i run it in safe mode #-o i forgot #-o

edit: you think i didnt notice?

press f8 repeatedly when you turn on your computer on until you see a screen that gives you boot options.

Select "safe mode with networking" to have your internet work so you can update your scanners before scanning.

Sounds like the old Welch Virus, it did that to me a few years ago... Was A real pain getting the Fix and running the Scan.

speeking of potential Fixes try Microsofts Aproach, its the Malicious Software Removal Tool which can be found Here: http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwa ... fault.mspx

and make sure you got all the Microsoft Updates.

It's not a virus, somebody planted a batch file run at startup that shuts down his computer, nothing more. It can easily be fixed by going to safemode and go to startup tab in msconfig and uncheck the file from starting.
