June 13, 200719 yr umm how do i run it in safe mode #-o i forgot #-o edit: you think i didnt notice? press f8 repeatedly when you turn on your computer on until you see a screen that gives you boot options. Select "safe mode with networking" to have your internet work so you can update your scanners before scanning.

June 13, 200719 yr Load in safe mode and delete the batch file. It's a very neat and popular trick, I've done it quite a few times on my friends.

It's not a virus, somebody planted a batch file run at startup that shuts down his computer, nothing more. It can easily be fixed by going to safemode and go to startup tab in msconfig and uncheck the file from starting.

Was probably just a friend pulling a prank on him or something.
