Taking requests.... for video tutorials... for Photoshop

some of you may remember a post I put up a while ago, and i apologies for the wait.

Finally got a mic that works... :|

If you have seen something you would like to know more about I can do my best to make a video to help explain some things.

no animation tutorials sorry... and if I ignore your request I'm also sorry, I'm probably doing other things and might get to it eventually.

Could you explain something about vectors?

I would really like to work with that.

Possibly, although in photoshop its not a "True" vector program unlike illustrator.

 do you have an example you could show as to what makes you want to do this?

Mainly I don't do anything intricate like vector portraits, but rather simple shapes combined with each other to form something which seems to have layers, and sometimes a 3D feel. If you've seen my hearts I've done, I consider them -photoshop- vectors, and in one of my rotating signatures, the dark side of the moon one, is another bases around vector -ideas-

Yes, just those simple shapes so I can do something creative with them.

(Could you explain which options you use, blending options, etc)

i don't often use blending modes when i actually make these vector shapes, maybe a lower opacity change here and there if i need it to blend better.

heres a tutorial i had written a while ago in the basics of making my Beveled heart that you seen in the 2nd link i showed you.

Basically try different shapes and forms with the same technique and see what you come up with. One thing i can tell you thats not on the tutorial is WORK LARGE, use high resolution bases that way you can save it as a resource and downsize it without much trouble with quality.

*edit* also try using the pen tool to create custom shapes instead of using premade ones that photoshop has, or search websites for packs that add more shapes.

I have made something, I know it looks bad :)

I gave it to my sister, she was happy with it.

I have downloaded some shapes, I have something in mind that I want to make. It will be hard, and it will take time but it will look great in the end.

Thanks alot for your tutorial, you should make more :) =D>

I'd like to see a tutorial on brushing (ie, blending images to the background and whatnot) and 'effective' brushing, to be precise. I keep hearing that term everywhere but I never seem to get to what seems like 'effective' brushing.

Thanks muchly. :) By the way, just had a look at your DA, absolutely adore "Roots of Emotion". Great job.
