  1. I love Flight of the Conchords. <3 The Humans Are Dead wins at life.
  2. They could implement an option - whether you want your drops to be in item or monetary form, possibly at the start of the LootShare session in order to make sure people don't just switch the item/money option to get the item for themselves and only themselves when they get a really good drop. I knew they'd try and work through the kinks, and I don't doubt that they'll take suggestions into account. They're not going to change anything back to what it had been, though (I've been hearing that way too many times -_-;; ). It's nice to see JaGEx communicate with their players like this, though - keeping us in the loop is very important and does help build a bit of customer contact.
  3. Congratulations all. :) Best of luck! I know you'll do well. :D
  4. *pops in* Looks great, Woopi. :D I've used those brushes before, they're great (assuming the brushes you used are the ones I'm thinking of). ^^ You've definitely spiced up the image for the better. :) Good job! *disappears back into obscurity*
  5. Hey everyone, just a quick message from Outsanity: he says sorry for the not-being-here-lately thing - he's kinda tied up as he's moving at the moment and can't get online much other than to update the list. I'm not sure when he'll be back properly, but a big thank you to everyone supporting! We've hit 101 supporters! :D Keep the support coming! Whoo! - Faelenof :)

  7. Very good of you to offer to make the signature. Kudos. Looking good so far. As someone mentioned, don't save as .jpg (right click -> properties says it's .jpg ><), kills the quality and makes it awfully grainy. To make a glassy effect (I've never actually tried it myself, so I don't know how it'll look), you could try and take a shade lighter of the colours there and draw thick 'streaks' across a bit of the glass. You could also look in older signatures (I'd link you to one but I don't actually know where they'd be) and try and replicate the glassy technique there as well. Not much else to crit for now, as it's a WIP. Best of luck, and again, good job offering. :) - Fael
  8. Woah, dude, calm down. Leave the poor guy alone - it's one thing to say that it's very unlikely that they'll actually get someone to make it, but it's another to put it like that. The guy's just requesting a signature - isn't that what this forum is for? Honestly, this sounds like a pretty good idea. Maybe back in the day (I feel old saying that, I'm only 16 ><) I would have considered it, but I'm incredibly busy now so I'm definitely out. Pixels (or at least my ones) take weeks on weeks to do - no one has the time nor the motivation to do it anymore, I'm afraid, Vincent. Please quit with the headbiting of the people that ask for pixel sigs, Yaff. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. - a ranty Fael
  9. May as well make my support official. ;) As a F2P I won't be able to enjoy this thing, but as I told you I've always liked the treasure hunting thing, and the little surprise you get at the end. This is a great idea - I admit I wasn't all that convinced with Archaeology at first but the scope of the skill has gotten me hooked. :P I'll try and get those item images to you before the end of next week, but things are getting a bit hectic now even in the holidays, so the prospect is less likely. :| I'll do my best. :) Good job again! :D - Fael
  10. Good luck mate!! *throws confetti and disappears back into the night*
  11. Great job so far. :) The animation is looking very cool, and the backgrounds look good so far. Not too much feedback from me, I'm afraid - I don't see much wrong with it. Colour choices are nice, no big perspective issues I can see. Keep us updated. ;) Good luck with it!
  12. oh [bleep] no, i hit a letter by accident you dumb [bleep], i was trying to help him, not be a [bleep] jerk, now you have gone and pissed me off, you [cabbage] [bleep] Woah woah woah, let's all calm down here. Yaff, swearing, quite honestly, doesn't get you anywhere and that's really not much of an excuse to flame someone. :? Onto the crits: - Bigger is not always better. Downsize your canvases and crop unnecessary white space. - As someone said above, don't save pixels as .jpgs, and you can save them as .pngs in paint. - Read up on human anatomy over the internet. We've got tons of resources there. Use them. The best thing you can do for yourself right now, in this stage of your art, is to read tutorials. Read, read, read, try stuff, read again, try more stuff, and so on and so forth. Best of luck.
  13. New Zealand, baby. :D Not a big rugby watcher myself, but everyone vaguely knows about rugby if you live here. ;) Just watched the last fifteen minutes or so of the France vs. Argentina game - Argentina won 17-12. Woo! I thought they played a great game against France (even though I didn't know what was going on half the time and kept bugging my brother to explain ^ : ) Next game's New Zealand vs. Italy, I think... go the All Blacks! Woot!
  14. Arm looks much, much, much better. Good fix. And the eyes don't look so "zomg i r ebil" now, thanks for that too. :P Empty eye sockets weren't so much of a problem to me as the red tint of the eye sockets. :) Thanks for moving the watermark as well - I can't help but feel there's something wrong with the way his left arm is bent, maybe need a bit more foreshortening on his elbow area, and I still have a bit of a problem with his neck/shoulder area, but as you said just before you're not gonna change him anymore so feel free to disregard this. ;) Good luck with the rest of it, I'll be here to give any crits should you want them. :D
  15. Finally. Thank you. Onto the crits. Looking well on it's way right now, great job. Good colours so far, I think, though as someone mentioned above the eye colour is too "bahahaa I'm so uber evil" - doesn't look like you're done with the eyes yet, so hopefully you're going to move away from evil red eyes. :) Also, seems a tad bit overdithered around the flames of the fire cape - detracts from the glowy aura that would otherwise be good. You could either reduce the dithering, or introduce a less saturated colour into the dithering in order to get rid of the blatant orange that's showing up right now. Neck seems awfully odd - either his neck is too long, his head is too far away from his shoulders, or his neck is too thin - thicken it up on his left side, maybe. Right hand seems a tad bit small: looks like it's gonna break if he holds the sword that stiffly to his side. :uhh: Chunky up the hand a bit, or maybe even make the arm a bit longer. Seems out of proportion somewhat, but always take my anatomy crits with a grain of salt - I'm not all that good at it. I reeeally like the shoulder guard and the sword, though the sword I think could use a teensy bit more gradual gradient on the sword edges. I also quite like the armour in general, actually, though the specular (shiny white bit) seems too harsh - tone it down a bit, maybe? :? The sky is great as well, although the fourth star from the left (the one at the bottom, the really faint one) is a little too obviously a bunch of dots. That's just me nitpicking though. :P As Moonshadow said above, I do hope you'd reduce the opacity or whatever with the sample text so we can at least see the potion. :| Not much else to crit on, I think. I'd love to see your next WIP, it'll give me something to look forward to on these boards. :) Can't think of anything to add in the background - you could use a few dragons or demons or whatever, but they're sadly overused in wilderness backgrounds. If you wanted to, you could use some artistic license and have a bunch of the God Wars monsters there (eg, Aviantese, trolls, Saradomin/Zamorak mages/warriors/archers, etc), to make a pseudo-God Wars setting as if your character's fighting along with them. *shrug* Up to you. Once again, thank you so very much for posting this, it's nice to say something other than "read some tutorials". :) - Fael
  16. Incredible. I didn't think I'd be around to see one of you leave Tip.It, although admittedly it is something that's inevitable when you hang around a game and a game fansite for as long as you have. I don't know what happened, but I wish you the best of luck in the future. I never got to know you nor speak to you much, which is something I truly regret, but I've seen what you've done for this website and I nor anyone else will not forget it. Clear skies (Pern reference>), - Faelenof
  17. Great article and interview, I enjoyed reading this a lot! :D Out of all the interviews I've read, I'd like to talk to this guy the most; the interview was really interesting. :) Thanks for this. ^^
  18. Nice to see you again. :) Pretty good from what I can see, I'll come back to this once it's been un-sampled, but from what I can tell it looks terribly pillow-shaded. :| Good job nonetheless - would like to see it unsampled soon. :)
  19. Good luck with the moddingness, both of you. :) I've read and enjoyed your posts, and I'm sure you'll do a great job. :D *applauds*
  20. *appears from clan chat* Great bank. :) Definitely FFL. As I said the other day, you can easily make that money back, and then some. 91 runecrafting is absolutely brilliant, and if I had the sort of net worth that you do I'd totally go for it. :) Good luck! :D
  21. Um, yeah, that's called ripping. :x And trust me, ripping is seriously not tolerated here. Not cool. And you don't need Photoshop to make a good sig - it irks me when people try to blame it on the program. Anyway, not the best. :| As said above, I don't like the colours nor the patterns used in it - fair enough, you don't have to use a render, but find some better fonts and try to look up some tutorials - the text looks very out of place. Good luck. :)
  22. Best of luck to everyone applying (also to the people reading it, hee ;)). I'm sure you'll choose well. :D I'm looking forward to seeing the new recruits. ^^
  23. I know I personally tend to create single threads for my pieces, for a few reasons: 1. I don't make pixels often nowadays, so it's a bit of a waste of time as it'll just die off. :| Unless you spit out a pixel every week or whatever, a gallery is slightly pointless. 2. I certainly don't have enough presentable ones (in my opinion) to create a decent gallery. :P At most there'll probably only be three or four there - all the other ones are pixels that I think simply aren't up to my standards, or ones I just never bothered finishing. 3. I tend to post WIPs in my one pixel = one thread threads, and I prefer getting feedback as I go along, as it's easier to edit things that seem off or whatnot if you have all the feedback for that one pixel in one place. I also find that I personally look at one piece = one thread threads more often, and give more constructive criticism on those specialised threads, probably because I have one piece to concentrate on instead of twenty or whatever. I dislike having to go through all the old comments in galleries and whatnot, and trying to find the latest piece, etc etc. But again, if you churn out a new piece often, go right ahead and make a gallery. We may also have the problem of old threads where the artist has left the forums, but their thread is still being bumped/whatever even though they've gone. Granted, your work will be shown off to the newbies, but personally resurrected threads just don't sit well with me, and I'm not sure how people react to old threads being bumped up - the General board tends to be against resurrecting threads, but of course, The Gallery is far and away not the Gen board. :) I myself will not make a gallery for the reasons above (I've turned down enough pixel requests to realise that I simply don't have enough time to pixel much anymore >< ). I don't pay much attention to galleries in The Gallery, to be honest (ironic, isn't it? :P). As Trip said, if there are more people willing to create galleries, go right ahead and make that index, but otherwise, just bump your thread every so often. The Gallery goes slow enough for a bump now and then, instead of one every day. *looks up* Ack, I went on a rant again. :P
