darkblade986 Posted June 17, 2007 Share Posted June 17, 2007 There have been people that said that they used a ranged weapon with melee items, and as soon as battle started, they began taking damage. If nothing else, your Staff will take damage because it is directly involved in the battle (casting the spells). Your best best would be to just use an Air Staff with Fire Runes and the Casting rune of your choice. Once you're past the Blue Dragons (which hardly ever go after you anyways on the run past) nothing will attack you, so you wouldn't have to worry about armor. Darkblade, if you think of it he doesn't need the set effect, hes only killing NPCs that cant attack him.
