Other kind of RS lag

Featured Replies

I have a problem with playing Runescape, but this is different.

If I lag, I do see other people breathing (I guess jagex tried to make it look like they are breathing, they move a slight bit)

I can type,

I can click my stats,

And after about 6 seconds everything moves again, displaying everything that happened in the 6 seconds that I couldnt move. And because I only play in the wildernis, I see like 5 numbers above someones head. (which you see if you hit someone)

Now my computer is not the problem, it loads Runescape quite fast. Nothing is slow, it seems like RS has trouble with displaying actions to my computer.

I have tried different world, also the closest one. Nothing works.

Who has had this before?

Sounds like a lag [bleep]e to me. You wouldn't really notice it just browsing the web.

Do you play any other games? If so do you sometimes experience times where while you can still move around nothing is happening and then it speeds up?

It probably is a problem with either your ISP or router. Are you running wireless or wired?

Bingo, I think thats it. Sometimes my computer picks up the wireless connection. And if it doesnt, I use the cable to connect to the internet.

After we moved to another house, the internet connection was not 100% permanent due to a problem at the internet company.

I guess I should switch it to the cabled connection?

If you are anywhere close to where you can run it through a cable, yes. Having two different connection types up at once is bound to cause problems.

Yes, my computer just stops the connection when I have 2 connections at once.

there is no difference between a wireless and a wired connection. its just the type of router you have that makes a connectivity difference. there both good types of connections pl0x

Eventually >.<

I think I can play runescape again, when it is laggy it is because of my computer.
