I'm pretty sure the amount of runs you would make is exactly the same... The only difference between running, and crafting is the exp you don't get...

The amount of experience you get for runecrafting is by a per-essence basis and not a per-rune basis. That is, you'll get the same experience for single crafting Air runes at lvl-1 and 10x crafting Air runes at lvl-99. Hope this clarifies the confusion.

If you're wondering, training Runecrafting is well worth the effort, especially on Members! A lot of the GP in the game is from players High Alching various items and High Alching requires Nature runes that you make through Runecrafting. If you only spend money buying pure essence from lower levelled players in Varrock and you craft Natures to use or sell, you'll be making a nice some of money. Even if you're not selling Natures, multi-crafting various runes is very helpful especially if you're an avid magic user.

i think you missed the point, running runes is always worth more than craft it yourself... unless you are 91 rc, thats it....

i main point about training runecraft is you can use pouches, which make it more worthwhile to run double natures in member worlds
