stupid BSoDs - happening very frequently

Featured Replies

When using my PC im getting a Blue screen of death once every hour or so, for no apparent reason. Its just a blue screen, no error messages or anyt writing on the screen, and requires a restart to get it working again.

I cant think of many reasons why it would suddenly start to happen. Just a couple of days ago i got the first one while playing WoW and ever since its been happening quite often.

Might be the video card... but its been working fine for the past 3 years so i dont really see why it would break for no reason now. I havent changed any hardware recently and i know for a fact that my PC is completely malware free.

no text or error codes on the BSoD :-k

could be a graphics card failure...

or some monitors turn blue when there is no signal... but that usually comes with a no signal warning

check your monitor cable for damage and check to see if your graphics card is seated all the way

Never argue with an idiot - it only drags you down to there level, where he then beats you with experience.

completed Underground Pass at level 52!

Whats your specs? Also is there anything apparent that you are doing when it happens? Like will it happen while playing WoW or a graphic intense program or will it happen just whenever?

I don't think it would be a monitor, if the no signal happens usually all the monitors I have had go to a black screen and say like "no signal found" in a box.

WoW has only killed my PC a few times ever.. it could be that i spose... Although im willing to put up with 15fps in shattrath for max graphics settings it could be whats causing it.

It might be the video card.

kind of an off the wall suggestion but perhaps try using the onboard video for a few hours and see what happens.

I had this problem earlier, for me it was my graphics drivers, it ended up with my computer being sent back, i got it back, i still had the error, had to reformat, then re-install everything... It would do no harm to re-install drivers

I was goona put something really cool here...but then I put this :(
