Nadril
looks allright *stands waiting for nadril to appear, giving huge list of advise :P* Just cuz you said that i wont :P Lol, yes i will  Ok, first off i do like the atmosphere. its a very clam, peaceful one, and it works good for your first landscape. However, what i don't like is the land part. The terrain is very primitive. Like i tell everyone else, download http://www.world-machine.com . It will make your terrains SO much better. Also, the surface map, while you do have one (thank god) is simplistic. You might have been going for that, but it doesn't work good with the landscape. I would sugest for a bright landscape maybe doing sand. Perhaps have an oasis in the middle. Or, you could have bits of vegitation, and have a full blown grass surface map, with green hills all around :) And some dirt of course. Also, the problem with your terrain is the fact that it gets cut off. its one of the things alot of people have problems with in the begining, sometimes i still even get a camera angle that looks like the landscape is going and just gets cut off imediatly. To solve this start further back in your terrain, and don't alow your self to make it seem like the landscape could just fall off the edge. (This was a tip my good pal theakman2 told me, master of landscapes :P) And it is a very good thing to keep in mind. Also, the mass amount of samples arn't quite needed   If you are content on sampling your work though, put it on the bottom landscape part. Right now all i'd have to do to steal this is crop the picture a bit :) Overall, not bad for a first. I have seen better, but i have definitly seen worse, and i'm glad you took some of your time to actualy figure the program out other than click *Generate terain* > Render. without even setting the quality bar to the max :)
