My latest Terragen [1024x768 wallpaper]

Here's my latest terragen... I wasn't really sure how it would turn out...

The sun is supposed to be the moon, in night. I couldn't get it any more "moon like," so that's why it's a little yellow :?

I personally like how the light is going through the mountains and the way it reflects on the water, it turned out pretty well in my opinion. Other than that, I don't have much to say, so just rate it /10, and feel free to use it as your wallpaper if you want.

My main objective on this was to learn how to reflect light off the water, and I think I learned a lot off of it :)

hmm... well the way the light reflects is nice yeah. It gives to a very good looking water, and i can say you did good on that.

But the terrain needs alot of work. Either make it more mountainous , or more island like, right now it kind of looks like the edge of the world.

not in a huge C&C mood today, maybe tomorrow i'll give some more, but i do like the water, even in a way the texture of it looks like a road

I like it, but the moon looks a bit blurry, don't know if it was or purpose.

It's actualy a sun, and its peering through the clouds (through an open break in them)

Thanks Nadril and Magia. I'm not great at shaping the terrain yet, that's my next project

Hmm, well the moon does look a bit like the sun, but the effect with it coming through the gap in the mountians is beautiful. The water looks great, and the atmosphere is good too. The only thing,m like Nad metioned, is you really should work on the terrain a bit. Unles syou have it already, tryusing WorldMachine to make your terrains. It makes the mountains more realistic. I think it's probably just how the scnene is lit, but the moutinas look kinda flat.......like they're all one constant color. I don't think there is any way to fix it, since thats how they respond to the light being behind them, but maybe if you make the mountains a bit more rough and brocky they would distract the light a bit and give shadows.

I've tried WorldMachine, I read like 3 tutorials and couldn't figure it out

Just using terragen to make my terrains... I couldn't make the sun any whiter, I tried for like 45 minutes :P

Well, dont get me wrong, it definitely is a great wallpaper. I think I'm going to make it mine if you dont mind.
