Is it possible to collect pouches that are above your level? say 47 runecrafting wanting a large pouch.

Actually, it is possible, but you can't use them.

You can obtain higher pouches, but can't use them (which defeats the purpose, as I assume you want a Large pouch for that quest).

beleive it or not, my first kill after logging on was a large pouch! thank you people, and mchainmail, answers your question too!
