July 11, 200718 yr Is there a easy breakdown of how this works? I run a game at my library and I was thinking of offering prepaid credit cards with enough money on them for three months of membership as a prize. What/How/Where does this work? Is there a specific pre-paid card provider I should use? Any help on this would be most welcome.
July 11, 200718 yr I think you're referring to the pre-paid credit cards that MasterCard, am I correct? It's far better if you phone your bank's local branch and ask them directly. I believe these pre-paid credit cards are associated with the person's bank account and thus becomes non-transferable. July 12, 200718 yr Some are "gift cards", that can be used as an alternative to gift vouchers. The charges can be pretty steep, with loading fees, monthly fees, and a final cash-out fee that would eat a chunk out of any unspent balance.
July 13, 200718 yr I get them from Commerce bank. No fees whatsoever, and it can be used exactly like a Visa. In fact, it has the Visa logo on it. :-)
