I am thinking of getting 71 hunter so i can catch imps and use it for dark beast rune mining. compared to the time spent catching hte imp, will it be useful or will i end up not using it because it takes too long to catch the imp?

I think it will be worth it. Box imps are pretty useful, and the time spent catching them isn't much (Tip: Karamja volcano, near the entrance to the dungeon, has got about three imp spawns there.)

I've never found a good use for them, but i guess your rune mining would work out pretty well.

 

 

 

Though to be fair, it would probably be faster to bank the ores and run back than to catch imps + mine.

 

 

 

Either way i say get your hunter ;p can't hurt

Also try just north of Yanille in the woods. There's a few there.

 

 

 

As for how good they are? They're great! Catch them in advance. Since you're Dark Beast mining, fill your remaining inventory up with the imp boxes leaving one space. Mine, deposit, mine again, deposit. Then mine two and deposit both at once. Drop the boxes (not sure if they stay in your inventory empty..), and keep on mining two ores and depositing.

thanks you guys you have convinced me to keep on going to 71 haha. hopefully iw ill only take a few more days i am at 54 right now and my friend and i are racing to 71 (he is already at 61)
