What is "null"?

Featured Replies

I was giving some money to my friend recently and saw this.

Is it just a glitch?

Trying to get 99 Fishing and Cooking, I'm doing my goal in 5 level increments.

it's where examine goes, yes, it is a bug, "null" means a variety of things depending on the context, but it is either 0 or empty

holy ****, I didn't know null existed since RS2 came out... In Rsc, it was a character (npc) level 0 generated by lag, and could only be seen with lag, or going up and down stairs and such

It means that your client software running on your PC did not receive

a piece of data from the server that it thinks it should have.

The classic example from RS classic was another player "named" null.

Your system knew the player was there but didn't know the name because

of lag or whatever.

In this update, I suspect that it's a bug in the software where the

"Choose Option" code expected more things sent to it than the "trader" code gave it.

Hope this helps
