July 19, 200719 yr I am currently 87 range, heading for 90 + (eventually 99). I am going to be ranging till I achieve my goal, which means I will be doing nothing but training range. From talking to many 99 rangers, they all tell me fire giants is the best (please don't give me any other spot to train unless you know for sure it's better, EXCLUDING PC). I don't know what to use to train. Should I buy a ton of knives, or should I buy crystal bows? It's either going to be one of the two, but for knives you have to keep constantly picking them up, and that gets very annoying. Crystal Bows I have about 3-4 of them, and I don't mind getting them enchanted when they are seeds. I am pretty sure I want to stick with crystal bows, but my question is, are crystal bows a good decision, or should I stick with the knives? Can someone who knows what they are talking about please help me out and tell me what to do. ALSO, how long do you predict 87-90 range will take at Fire Giants?
July 19, 200719 yr I dont know how long it will take from 87-90, but i can tell you crystal bows will cost A LOT more than iron knives
July 19, 200719 yr I heard iron knives are very good @ fire giants. Use Ava's Accumulator to auto pick up your knives. You will probably get your money back with the drops. I'm pretty sure you'll even get a profit..
July 19, 200719 yr Author I'm going to go with the iron knives. I can buy a ton for a cheap price and even though it's annoying to pick them up, they are the best. So many high 90 + rangers said that's the best thing to do. Anyway, anyone predict how long 87-90 will take at Fire Giant's with Iron Knives?
July 19, 200719 yr because of crowding, a week maybe more im not certain. chinchompas are said to be 300k exp an hour @ ape atoll, but i dont know that training method, nor do i care about it.
July 19, 200719 yr As i have mentioned before, you should seriously consider doing Animal Magnetism to get Ava's Accumulator, especially for training at fire giants (there's no obstacles to interfere with the device, right?). It will really speed the process up.. ~Goodluck :)
July 19, 200719 yr Author chinchompas are said to be 300k exp an hour @ ape atoll, but i dont know that training method, nor do i care about it. LOL - If that was the case, I think a lot more people would have 99 range. I HIGHLY doubt that's true. ...
July 19, 200719 yr If you got the cash for for the cyrstal bow because it will pay in the long run... also i wouldnt train at fire gaints... i would train at the orges at the king's training ground. it's right next to ardy. Theres around 8 orges there in a cage.. and not to many people go down there Visit TipRs for Rs Tips such as Money Making Guides
July 19, 200719 yr chinchompas are said to be 300k exp an hour @ ape atoll, but i dont know that training method, nor do i care about it. LOL - If that was the case, I think a lot more people would have 99 range. I HIGHLY doubt that's true. ... It's possible, just very expensive ;) I dislike fire giants. Not because they are bad training, but because everyone thinks they are so great. That means they're crowded, always. And that slows down training considerably. Basically, train on anything with high hp and low def, like lesser, greater or black demons. Hellhounds, all kinds of giants and some slayer monsters like bloodvelds and dust devils are also great.
July 19, 200719 yr Author Can someone please tell me the 300 K XP per hour with the chinchompas? I took a long break from RS and just recently returned, and I have no idea what you guys are talking about. 300 K an hour seems absolutely insane/unheard of. I average around like 70 K XP an hour anywhere else.
July 19, 200719 yr REd chinchompas cost about 600 per chompa, but deal damage to an area, so people pot, and then hit 30+ with every hit, massing a ton of xp. Currently: Skilling
July 19, 200719 yr Author So exactly how many of this chinchompas do I buy to get 300 K xp per hour, and where do I go? I'm very interested in doing this, I thought it was a joke at first. Can someone explain to me in depth what I need to do exactly to do this? I'm willing to pay for it if it will get me 300 K per hour...
July 19, 200719 yr Author Or is there even a chinchompa guide somewhere? I'd prefer if someone explained it to me, but you can post the link to a guide if there is one
July 19, 200719 yr Never tried it myself, but be aware that it will cost a lot! This is from another topic... Your gonna need a lot more than10 milt for the chin method to 99. Try about 40mil. Watch this video for all the information you need. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls-ybGZZ9BM
July 19, 200719 yr A Chinchompa Guide is on page 3 of this guide. Hmm. Well, you can watch the video, or read the guide. The post above was posted while I was creating this post.
July 19, 200719 yr Author Omfg I didn't think that guy was actually serious. Thanks for that vid. Do you need to beat any quests to get to that spot? Where can I buy chinchompas, etc.
July 19, 200719 yr You need to have gotten to a certain point in monkey madness. The part with the tunnel is minimum, but I advise completing it. And the forums is the best place.
July 19, 200719 yr Author Okay great, I'm going try this with 1 M and buy some chinchompas/pots since I've completed Monkey Madness. Can someone tell me what I should bring in my pack including like rope, a quest item, etc., and how many chinchompas I should buy?
July 19, 200719 yr keep in mind, this method is VERY EXPENSIVE, the ammo and the p pots are expensive in the long run. You use up about 17k a minute, yet you can gain up to 250k exp an hour, therefor costing 1m to get 250k exp in one hour. Just so you know what you are getting yourself into.
July 19, 200719 yr Author Yeah I know lol, I just am going to try it out with the 1M. So can anyone answer my previous question as to exactly what to bring in my pack?
