July 22, 200718 yr My goal at the moment is 99 Magic, and I know magic is useful at DK's. I want to know everything there is to know about solo maging rex, from equipment to getting there. Do I need a suicider? What the heck is a suicider anyways?! :lol: If you know anything that will help me, please post. Pictures are appreciated. :D

Why would it be insane? I thought you could do it if a 'suicider' drew Prime and Supreme away from you and you got to the safespot to kill Rex. Maybe not? :-k

Obviously someone who has neverDK'ed. A suicider is someoen that runs in and gets the mager and ranger (prime and supreme) off you so you can mage the meleer without getting bothered by the other 2. I recommend you watch this, it gives a good view on Dagannoth king hunting. It's outdated, but if you want to DK you should never do your first trip alone. Get a friend who has DK'ed before to teach you. You should have full Veracs/ Guthans if you want to DK and a decent supply of sara brews, super restores and super antipoison pots. EDIT: The mager and ranger won't target you if you stay close to the Rex safespot. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

I will never consider soloing Rex until I have done a fair few duo magic trips, it is far too dangerous. It will be something I want to develop onto eventually thoguh, so I just wanted to know if it was possible. Thanks.
July 23, 200718 yr Having someone to suicide really helps. If you've been hybriding before maging shouldn't be too hard. You'll probably know that Rex moves diagonally now, so it's a bit harder to lure him, you'll need to stand out of the safespot and get Rex to the North East first and to the safespot after. Fastforce made a vid about this, I think it's a good help: http://files.filefront.com/FastForce+luringDKswmv/;7890679;;/fileinfo.html I'd use Veracs, it gives a great prayer bonus and you'll keep your valuable stuff if you die in it(Taking a granite shield instead of crystal). 1-1.5k casts should be enough I think. GOF's guide covers the rest, only the luring has really changed.
