I want to level my ranged more and i have 2 or 3 mil to spend on it. Which is more effective at getting xp, a cannon or using a crystal bow? And approxiamately how much xp per hour would i get? (i'm almost 83 ranged currently)

The cannon is definately faster exp in certain areas... for example, you can earn upwards of 100k experience per hour at Dagannoths under the lighthouse. However, this tears through your ammo at an awful rate and you don't earn any hitpoint experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Depending on how much you currently pay for a crystal bow, I'd maybe recommend it instead. After a few purchases, the renewal price comes down to 180k, and if you can afford it, I'd maybe buy more than one seed to save you having to visit so often.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Having said this, it is now widely known that chins are the best ranging exp when used at Ape Atol. They are expensive however, so I recommend collecting these yourself instead of buying them (despite your temporary wealth)

I would use both at the same time. If you already have a cannon spend 1M on cannon balls and what ever cash you have left over, use it to recharge your crystal bow.

thank you for the replies. If I were to use a cannon under the lighthouse, how many cannon balls would i need per hour. Would the drops let me break even?

Im not shure, I've never trained at the lighthouse, I trained on lessers.

most of the drops arent good at the lighthouse. i suggest crystal bow on monsters like dust devils.

Crystal bow on fire giants would be fun and cost effective eventually.
