best place to cut mage logs?

South west of the gnome agility training area....and if you've got the farming level you can have your own magic tree there too

I think the trees at isafaldar are good too.. just use a tiny elf crystal to return (costs a 100 gp each time you use it)

I always use the trees in Isafdar, near Lleyta. I use the teleport crystal to get to Lleyta and bank, the take a short run back to the trees (There's 3.). This requires you to start Mourning's End Pt 1. The elf who recharges the crystal is also near the trees at times--She switches between 2 locations, one of them is right next to the trees. Its usually empty too.
