im just hoping i can get some more ratings (1-10/10) instead of c/c...but its all good \'

In my opinion, CC is way more useful than ratings. Ratings dont help you in any way, it doesnt help you improve on anything. Maybe you feel good about a nice rating for a few seconds, but thats all.

Please read the CC that has been given to you, and try to do something with it.

Woopidoo has the right of it. Ratings are ego boosts. I liked ego boosts myself when I started out pixelling, and I asked for ratings.

Then it dawned on me that replies like "very good" or "9/10 good job" don't actually tell you anything. I didn't want to just be told some number that anyone can throw at me. So, ok, I got a 9... but how can I get a 10?

Well... I don't know, because all anyone told me was "9/10 good job". (not meaning offense to people that did say this)

Comments and criticisms are the things that help you get those 10s. Rik was giving you great criticisms, and if you want your art to be seriously considered here then listening and taking on board crits is the best way to go about it.

Granted, as you said, you're satisfied with your piece, and that's all that matters. I agree with that. But when you come to The Gallery with an image, Gallery vets will crit it to the best of their ability in order to help you improve.

I won't give you a rating - it's not what I do. ;) I think it's alright. Not good, not amazing, it's alright. I don't want to repeat everyone else's C/C because I think they've covered everything. My advice? Check out some pixelling tutorials and anatomy sites. There is little to no shading there, odd anatomy and a rushed background.

Check out the tuts, they help. A lot. (really)

Sorry for the lecture - it's a reflex when I see people who refuse perfectly good help that took time to type out.

Some great advice there.

Yes, take a look at some of the tutorials here on TIF, they're great.
