I bought Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 PLatinum the other day and installed it on my computer. Everything went fine there. When I double clicked it to open, I got an error message saying at the top: C++ Runtime Error.

 

and at the bottom: Program Terminated

 

 

 

I have all of the requirement to run the program on my computer but it still won't work. I've restarted my computer, uninstalled it and reintalled it 3 times, and still nothing. If anyone has any ideas of what the problem is PLEASE help!

..Are you sure you meet ALL of the requirements? I would check that a few times..other than that, I can't really help you. Maybe try downloading a patch from their site...I've never experienced the problem before. :-k

I checked every requirement and my computer seems ok. (My computer is newer than the game itself lol) i'm thinking that it might be the disc itself. I may exchange it for a new one if they let me.

Well, C++ is the programming language, it must be pretty bad if you have a error with that. Try re-installing it, that's all I'm good for. -.-

Lol no. I got my computer like 3 weeks before Vista came out because I knew it would have so many bugs.

I checked Atari's website and none of the common errors for Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 involved the C++ thing. I didn't get a chance to take it back to Target where I got it today. I might tomorrow.

 

 

 

EDIT: I ended up taking it back and got the Gold version instead. It works fine.
