Mistake in Castle Wars guide

Featured Replies

As you see below underlined in red, it says the armory contains bandages. Jagex updated Castle Wars a long time ago and moved the bandages to the resprawn rooms to make it harder on other teams.

Below is an image that could replace the image shown above:

Under the "Castle Wars Components" section it states:

The Armoury

The castles armoury is where all castle wars items are stored. This is an area that should be left open at all times so that team members can freely restock their supplies. This will also allow the enemy to access these supplies, so this is a good place for several mid level players and possibly a couple of high level players to position themselves in order to deter enemy re-supply. These people will also be able to guard the ladder leading to the dungeon and the ladder leading to the keep. Items available here are bandages, barricades, climbing ropes, explosive potions, pickaxes, rocks and toolkits. There is also a water source located on the wall next to the ladder leading to the dungeon.

Bandages are now only available in the respawn room.

I have updated pictures, and shall edit them in when I have them all. I noticed that the majority of the pictures were fuzzy, so I retook them and have some more of my own.

Jesant13, thanks so much for providing the new picture!

I've added it to the guide and am in process of also adding the comments that people have provided.

However, since I don't play, I'm not qualified to judge some strategy points.

I've fixed all the bandage references, clarified the floor levels, noted the 0 xp for attacking barricades, and mentioned staff of Iban (god item).

Someone wrote back in December about using (hunter) butterflies on teammates, but I don't know if those are still allowed in the game? If someone could confirm, that would be great.

Mc90123, thanks also for posting. I merged your topic here since it's the same thing, and Jesant13 has already supplied the picture.

I'd also love to get 40x40 transparent GIFs of the CW items if anyone feels like making them. :D

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

Me and Ginger_Warrior can both confirm that hunter butterflies can be used in the Castle Wars minigame. I have pictures of three being used if needed.

OK. We went to have a game, and indeed we both used all four types of butterflies on each other. It appears all but Snowy butterflies can be used to highten the mel̮̩̉̉e stats beyond their normal levels. For example, my Strength level went up to Level 90. HP is healed, but not extended beyond its normal level. Anyways, the point is they can be used on teammates in CW, and needless to say, they can be brought into the arena.

Also, you asked for those pictures. I got all six CW-exclusive items, plus I got a new picture of the Zamorak banner. The old one looked a bit... weird. All are in .gif

Hope that helps you ma'am. :P

posted items in that db, need added to cw draft.

EDIT: done, should be released shortly.
