only real way to make profit with alching ids to make most of the supplies your self, like cutting the logs, making the nats, etc. the only thing that really comes close is if you buy high alchables for 300 less than their high alch value, alching is not a money maker, just a mage trainer, which is costly, so you can't really make money with it.

then how do i see the ppl with like tons of money and they say it from alching?

They probably make majority of resources themselves. To my knowledge there's nothing you can alc and make a profit by simply buying something then alcing it.

Unfortunately that is the end of being able to buy supplies. You would have to cut your own yews to make a profit this way.

Buy the flax at about 80 each and spin it yourself to make 58 gold per bow. It is possible to do but 58 gold a pop is not all that much profit. The experiance though would be worth it probably.

You can buy natures for 280ea right now if you are patient and use the RS forums.

 

 

 

You can buy bs for 150ea right now without too much of a problem.

 

 

 

Magic logs can be purchased for 1100ea, but you have to work at it a little as magic logs aren't nearly as common as yew logs.

 

 

 

There are plenty of people willing to trade magic longbows for supplies.

 

 

 

Magic longs alch for 1536ea so if you buy your supplies at the prices listed above and then trade your supplies for magic longs and then alch them, you will make a 6 gp profit per bow.

 

 

 

I am doing exactly this right now in so my numbers are realistic.

 

 

 

If you would rather do this routine with yew longs, yew longs alch for 768ea so 768-(280+150)=338. This means that you need to buy your yew logs for 338ea or less in order to not lose money. I'm not sure how easy it is to purchase yew logs at this price right now, but I plan on trying it out soon.

If you do meet all the requirements to craft battlestaves you will earn 2300gp per staff alching them (less the cost of the runes). Buying battlestaves five by five from the shops and hopping worlds in between is really tedious though (one can get up to 250 per hour if lucky) so I can't tell this is a fast way to make money.

 

 

 

If you are patient enough it's a good way to raise your mage and your crafting all together, while making some decent cash on the fly. :)

 

 

 

The fastest money I could make all inclusive (buying battlestaves 7k ea, nats 300ea and cosmics 100ea) and going through the whole process (buying battlestaves, melting glass, blowing orbs, charging them, crafting air battlestaves and alching them) was 153k per hour. The best xp I could get (all inclusive, except gathering sand and soda ash) was 11790 mage xp per hour and 18900 crafting xp/hour.

get 54 crafting.. make water battle staffs, buy nats.. you make 9k profit(bstaves alch for 9.3k ea...) i kill killerwats for air ones

Actually if you make your own battlestaves you have to pay 7k for buying the staff itself, about 300gp for 3 cosmic runes to charge your orb and 300 more for casting high alch.

 

 

 

Total cost: 7600gp.

 

Total profit: 1700gp.

 

 

 

My calculations above may sound a bit pessimistic but it's because I had chosen to include the whole process of making air battlestaves from scratch. In fact, they are pretty accurate. ;)

both high levs tho so probly not efficent way off getting them, prolly can make 7k quiker then kill enough to get a drop.

It is possible to make a miserably small amount of money with high alching mage longs. Buy them for 1.3k each and buy nats, as long as you dont spend much more than 225 each on the nats you will turn a very small profit.

If you can smith steel plates you can make a good profit but it takes time and isn't the most interesting way to go...

kill 300 blue drags.. trade hides for 100 bodies and alch is another way to make 400 or so k
