hadgan
I'm seeing a lot of posts that refer to types of sigs, but I'm not sure what they mean. Pixel, brush, burn, abstract... what do they all mean? Sorry if this sounds stupid, I don't come to the Media board often.
Slyde_Whoosh
A pixel sig is the carntoon 1's that are made 1 pixel at a time, basically the smallest tool used to make them.... Abstract's are the signatures that aren't really anything usually... They look cool... As in abstract (not there) or concrete (something real) Most people have an abstract sig... Ill get you 1 to show you lol... Abstract: All kind's of different styles.... Terragens are signatures that are land... Like a waterfall or a mountain, water a cliff ect......... well sorry... he didnt brush the whole sig, but the designs are brushed...
DementedHero
The last example you gave is not correct. That are not brushed sigs.. Those are abstract.. Brushed sigs are sig made with the brush tool, and can be anything, wether it be a landscape, some characters, something abstract.. Look at zonorhc (sorry ;) ) work. He makes brushed sigs. Oh, and you asked about burn. Burn is just a tool in photoshop, and other programs similar to photoshop, that is used to darken area's with a nice effect. Zonorhc
Hey, come on... That's the second time I've seen my name horribly mis-spelled on this board. Anyway, the best way to find out what the terms mean is to look at the things made by people who use those words to describe them. I would personally just call my sigs brushed drawings, but your mileage may vary. D-Gade
Pixel is the one you have... brushed is like you either make or download a brush (usually for photoshop), its something like a template, not easy to explain in detail
