Can i do enough of the Sir amak vase subquest to get access to the evil chicken's lair without gaining any prayer and/or defence assuming i already have 40 defence and 1 prayer? Not completing the quest, just enough to kill the black dragons?

You don't have to complete the subquest to get to the Black Dragon Lair, and you only have to have started Legend's Quest, not finished it, so I'm quite sure you are able.

does starting legends require me to finish heros? and if so does that mess with def and/or pray levels?

Yes, you must finish Hero's Quest before you can start Legend's Quest. Having lvl-43 prayer for the Protection prayers is highly recommended. I'm guessing you're asking these questions because you're a pure?

 

 

 

Accessing the Black Dragon lair in RFD happens about 3/4 of the way through the Sir Amik Vaze subquest. You can try accesing the Black Dragon Lair by using a raw chicken on the Evil Chicken shrine.

It is reccomended to have 43 prayer, but it's not absolutely necessary. It will be quite hard, but you can get to start Legend's without prayer or defense levels.

Hmm how can i start legends quest without defence levels when you need to do heroes quest to start it, and that gives defence xp?

Now that's me being a genius. I only checked the requirements but not the rewards. :wall:

 

In that case forget everything. You can't go in the Evil Chicken's Lair with level 1 def.

The reward is only 1325-3075 exp per skill, so if you didn't train any defence after you hit 40 you can make it.

ok so what are all the quests and requirements i'm going to have then? i haven't done legends or heroes but i have done champions.
