for those who havent heard lately, theres been a virus infecting the computer systems around the world, and i tell ya, this aint no ordinary virus. heres a link with enough info to keep you on the edge of your seats---

personally, i just installed 2 anti-virus sofwares to protect my sorry hide in case it finds it way here. :ohnoes:

I admire the authors of that worm if they were able to collect a botnet of 1.7 million users. Imagine the @Home scores. :P

Well first off thats one nice virus.

 

Second, you really don't need 2 AV's as all they will do is slow your system down. Your better off you installing one good AV and a good Firewall.

Actually having two AVs is potentially worse than not having anything as the conflicting detection systems could allow trojans to sneak in.

 

 

 

The worm isnt that new though and was discovered in January so your AV should be patched up to protect against it. Its also relatively easy to remove and there are several removal tools available. Its also possible to stop the rootkit feature by simply typing "net stop wincom32" into cmd.
