I just bought an Easter Egg for 7.5 Mil. Is this a good investment for me? Explain why or why not....

The current market price is 6.8-7M... so you got ripped off by 500k. But that's something a merchant would be really angry, not so much an average player. If you intend to keep it for a year or two, then you made a good investment anyways, the prices rise exponentially as time goes.

But yeah, hang on to that baby for awhile and profit will be yours. With people accidently eating and such there will be even less in the market.

Wow, the rares market is rebounding. Easters had dropped all the way down into the 6 millions not too long ago with santas at 20 million or less.

 

 

 

I've been watching santa and easter egg prices fairly closely for nearly a year now and this is how I see things:

 

 

 

Jagex has been introducing a lot of things into the game lately that cost a lot of money. People have been selling their rares to pay for stuff like skill capes (power-leveling), third age armour, dark bows, visages, etc. I think that this is the reason that santa and easter prices had been on a steady decline.

 

 

 

Recently, I think that easter and santa prices reached a point where they became irresistible and people have started to buy again. As demand grows, the prices will rise. People will see the rising prices and want to get in on the "easy money" and they will continue to buy and prices will continue to rise.

 

 

 

At some point (could be today, could be a year from now), we'll hit a peak and prices will drop. The short time investors will sell sell sell and the prices will start to drop. How far will they drop? No idea.

 

 

 

All of this said, you bought your easter at a price nearly as low as I've seen it in quite some time, so you'll probably end up doing well whether you keep it as a short term or a long term investment.

 

 

 

Just my (very humble and lowly) opinion.

 

 

 

EDIT: PS - I almost forgot.. Beware of the the "god caves" update that is impending. I'm guessing that some more 3rd age stuff will be introduced into the game with it and rares will take a hit as a result.

on my main i bought a blue phat for 2500000gp 2.5m, i got hacked so im really pissed. the stupid hacker forgot to transfer from rsc to rs2.
