Mind elaborating a bit on your method? I've been modeling alot lately at work (although I can't show alot of what I do) but I must say that your attention to detail is pretty good. That seems to be what usually makes or breaks a good model. So how do you go about it? How do you start? Just simple polygon modeling from simple shapes? Or do you draw your points and create the polygons from those? Really nice work. :)

Your stuff is great

BTW, can i see the pic of the strat?

The headstock doesnt really look anything like a Gibson headstock, and the pickups look too long and stubby. They almost look like minibuckers, which SG's don't have. The body looks ok, nice and sharp, but looks a little too thick, SG's arent that thick. The headstock also looks dead flat, and not properly angled like it should be. Pickguard corners are too rounded, these need to be dead on points.

Sorry about being picky, I own a SG and can spot these things =P I modeled one too sometime back, should probably redo it. Never did get around to rendering it out though.

Ah, Entangle, I was already looking forward to you to comment. :P

I got to admit that the headstock was a bit rushed, therefore it might got some errors, which I see you pointed out well. I'll take a look at it, and also the pickups and the pickguard.

The body looked too thin to me at first so I made it a little thicker, obviously too much. ;)

I'll make new inlays too.

By the way, why haven't you, John, posted any of your newer work here? Or are you having a break of some sort?

I wouldn't class lame sigs as work, I think I've only ever posted my Les Paul here, and havent really done any design in awhile. I'm working on getting back into it though.
