mort myre fungi

i am trying to get 1k mort myre fungi. the best spot (as far as i know) is at the gate between 2 logs. when i collect i sometimes only get one, but others i get 2. is this random or am i doing something to change this? thanks

I have a prefered spot & method.

 

 

 

Inside the gate, a little south west there is a 3 spawn place. The amount you get is random, sometimes even 1. Also random (as far as I know) is the amount of prayer points you use up.

 

 

 

My method

 

- fill up inventory at 3 spawn location.

 

- bank.

 

- do not charge prayer, return and get as many as you can until prayer is gone.

 

- then run down to nature alter and charge prayer, gather more fungus until full using the 2 logs a little north west.

 

- once inventory is full again, charge prayer before leaving (since you are still close to the nature alter!)

 

- bank and go back to the 3 spot.

 

-Rinse & repeat. =)

 

I know prayer pots are faster, but I am too cheap to waste pots on that.

Just for completeness, my method. (Everything he said about the randomness of p points/fungi collected is the same for me, and i also use the same spot as him with 3 logs, a little south west of the one you're using):

 

 

 

Weilding air staff, 100 laws in invy, 100 earths in invy. Need a kharyll portal and an alter in your house.

 

 

 

Fill your inv with fungi.

 

Tele to your house.

 

Charge prayer.

 

Step through kharyll portal.

 

Bank.

 

Rinse and repeat.

 

 

 

Yes you use up laws (one per 25 fungi collected, so 40 laws if my sleep-deprived mental maths serves me correctly), but it's much faster. It's your choice over cash saved -> speed. Sicne i can make 40 laws in one trip i find my method great for me.

 

 

 

If you don't have a house with the above, then you should get it, not just for this, those two things in your house are a godsend. If you do, then good :D

thank you. my technique used to be to bring home tele tabs and do the same thing but with less logs. didnt know there was any more logs closer together until you guys told me. thank you again
