I'm gonna go fight red or blue dragons soon and I was wondering a few things. I'm at 95 cb (76 attk, 75 str and def, 77 hp and 70 prayer).

 

 

 

1. Do I drink the Anti-fire (think thats what its called) pot before or after fighting or something?

 

 

 

2. Do you think I need any pots? (prayer, supers, etc)

 

 

 

I'll be wearing Dharoks plate, legs and helm with the anti-dragon shield and whip unless you know a better combo (got full dragon too and some rune/dragon weps).

1. you drink antifire before fighting, or you receive no resistance from the dragon's fire attack. in conjunction with a anti-dragon shield, you will always take 0 damage from dragon breath.

 

 

 

2. If you feel confident, bring only food, although blue+ dragons are ;v 111+ and will hit you some of the time. there are two ways to fight, pray based, or defense based. pray based is when you wear pray boosting armor like proteslyte (sp) and use a whip or another strong weapon, then there is defensive where you wear strong defensive armor. rune + is always a good choice. If you use pray boosting, you will probably pray for every dragon, so little food is requires, but in defensive, you will need food, as you will get hit. but remember, each pray pot is upwards of 7k+ and sharks are only around 900 each, so make your choice wisely. (i use food, cheaper, and defense lv 79 helps also)

my advice to you is this:

 

 

 

Super attack and str potion , check on guide on tip.it site on how many ( id say 2 of each sounds good)

 

14 prayer pots ( 2 for extra)

 

5 anti fire potion - they last for 6 min and you shud drink 1 dose before u fight. ( How you know the dose is out: When you drink a dose and when the dragon uses fire breath on u this comes up:

cape - god cloak : Sara, guth or zammy cloak. These can be bought from players or gotten from treasure trails ( if your lucky).

 

 

 

I did make a thread too when i went to iron dragons, and i use tip and advice from forum + read guide about metal dragons.

 

 

 

AS the guide said : metal dragons have high drop rate of dragon items, and its probably right.

 

 

 

So my recommendation is that you shouldent waste your prayer pots on blue dragons...go kill bronze or iron. But not blue, thats something i kill without prayer pots.

anti-fire pots aren't needed against low-leveled dragons (their breath doesn't penetrate the shield)(green and blue for sure, I think red and black too)

That true, but they do a slightly damage. Ive used prayer to kill blue dragon.

 

 

 

The one in hero, i took on my prayer gear and a bit food. Recharged prayer at 2nd floor of hero guild and went and meled blue dragon. I wore shield but it did 3-5 damage still....
