Full Veracs versus Mithril Dragon

Well hey there it's me tzk_crimson

Just before we start this guide I want to take the time to warn you that fighting Mith dragons using full veracs is highly dangerous and if you die while not protecting then you will loose your helm which can be a major set back.

HIGHLY DANGEROUS

I warned you already. Please don't flame if you think this is a bad idea because its honestly the fastest way to kill them in my opinion.

Advantage:

Easy to kill.

Fast .

Saves Prayer Pots.

On good runs kill 1-2 dragons.

Great Drops

To start off the minimum stats I would try this at :

80+ attack

80+ strength

50+ prayer

80+ hp

How to get there :

9d04c35927.jpg

Use games ammy to teleport to barbarian outpost then walk south down the red path to whirlpool and jump in.

the equipment you should bring is as follows :

th.9265f2b409.jpg

What to wear if you don't know one the items :

Helm : Veracs Helm

Plate : Veracs Brassard

Legs : Veracs Skirt

Weapon : Veracs Flail

Ammy : Glory > Unholy > Strength

Ring : RING OF LIFE > Wealth(if your confident)

Cape : God cape > Legends > none

Boots : Climbing Boots > none

(do not bring rune boots they wont help since you Protect Melee, just another thing you can loose)

(god cape because it gives highest magic defence which is main source of damage also easiest to get.)

What to bring in Inventory :

4 Prayer Pots (wont need all but you can never be to safe at least 2)

1 Super Strength Potion

1 Super Attack Potion

1 Anti fire Potion (You will die if you don't bring this)

1 Runes for teleport (Ardy or cammy)

1 Games ammy (at least 1 charge)

18 Sharks (monks if you can't afford but sharks are best)

Ok above is the video here is the guide:

When you enter the whirlpool pot using super attack and strength and anti-fire.

Protect mage and run to other side and up stairs.

When you reach the stairs Switch prayer to Protect Melee, Protect Item, Incredible Reflexes, Ultimate Strength.

Attack the first Dragon up stairs.

If it is taken then go to second one that is by itself.

DO NOT GO FIGHT ONES THAT ARE AROUND OTHERS. they can switch who they fight in the middle and this will increase your chance of dieing.

Keep hp above 55-60 during the fight as fire can hit 40+ so far I've seen a 46 on myself.

I try to keep hp at around 70.

If pray reaches around 20 drink 1 dose of Prayer Potion

If you follow these guidelines you can easily kill a mith dragon.

Problems that may occur.

Anti-Fire wears off :

Honestly keep sound on just make sure you can re-dose before it hits you for full damage.

You run out of prayer and potions:

Tele. thats all i have to say do not stay and finish fight.

If you run out of food:

Tele. end of discussion.

If you do have to tele:

You can bank recharge pray and go back you should be able to make it back and kill the dragon before anyone else can.

Oh no you died:

Tele back and get your stuff. Usually no one else is there and you should have enough time to get your items back.

Drops and inventory can look like this below.

Mith Dragons

please post your thoughts and opinions but don't flame.

Other helpful hints from other players.

From thekiller308

"Use Chivalry/Piety instead of the two 15% prayers; I personally tested and found that chivalry drains at the same rate as two 15% prayers at the same time, and it gives better bonuses, too."

Also

"Also, a trick you can use if you need to restore health and prayer: click on a shark then immediately on a prayer potion. If you do that, there's no delay between the two actions."

said "I did a trip with Verac and killed 2 Drags. But I used protect from mage instead of protect from melee. I think that's better since your mage def is horrible in Verac. Also I drank a super set at the bank instead of carrying it in. This allowed me to bring in 3 extra sharks(just like what I do at the KQ, complete with 30+ hits, Laughing)"

I would only try this if your stats are 90+ including defence which you need to super set on as well. i personally think the melee attack is more constant and hits high. even while protecting dragon fire will still hit you but I'm not sure of the max i tried it and got hit for around 25 I think.

I'll test this out a little more just to make sure either way its a good suggestion if you have 90+ stats.

I would rather use a trimmed skill cape and Piety. I heard Piety has the same drain rate as 2 +15% prayers.

yeah i was just saying god cape is cheapest and if your not careful it can be easy to die but good idea cause of prayer bonus would help.

i haven't had the chance to use piety so i didn't include it in guide not knowing the effects for myself. but if you can protect and use it then i dont see why not.

So this still works to an extent? I thought it was impossible now that protect from magic doesn't work the same as antidragon shield. I'll have to try it and see how well I do.

EDIT: Tried once, killed one dragon, it seems like quite a bit of luck and eating as fast as you can. I think I've found a way that you can eat less, but I'm not sure how well it works. I'll work on perfecting it.

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

yeah it does work.

but u got to watch hp and prayer cause things can happen pretty fast.

i'm serious when i say if prayer or food runs to low to finish just tele and come back otherwhise you can find yourself in a pretty bad situation.

but overall the dragonfire is the only thing to worry about a lot.

I'll do more tests, but I think the best way to handle them is when you get hit hard by the dragonfire (20+), click on the dragon so you "dance" with it a bit (neither you nor the dragon get an attack in) and eat while dancing. Also, three trips, killed 5 dragons, so it's hard to kill 2 per trip, but it might be possible (when I managed more than one, it was because I'd weakened it at the end of the last trip. My stats are 84 88 82 with 87 hp and 65 prayer, and I took two more sharks than you did (I use Karamja gloves as my teleport).

Use Chivalry/Piety instead of the two 15% prayers; I personally tested and found that chivalry drains at the same rate as two 15% prayers at the same time, and it gives better bonuses, too.

Also, a trick you can use if you need to restore health and prayer: click on a shark then immediately on a prayer potion. If you do that, there's no delay between the two actions.

That's all I can add so far.

oh really the super set if a good idea but since your stats are really high you dont have to dose between dragons like people with stats under 90. and i tried using protect mage which didn't work because my defence isn't nearly as high as yours even when i super set it. but your strategy does work if your stats are as high as yours.

i cant belive anyone even tryed this but

but shouldnt protect magic work better so the fire dont hit as much and u have melee def

protect magic nolonger stops dragon fire from miths (idk about other dragons)

I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come
