RuneScape. A whole new dimension, a whole new world.

Technically speaking it wouldn't be all that difficult at all to move the camera down to the characters eye level. Only a few lines or blocks (Depending on the complexity of their camera control system) of code would need to modified to make it work. However it would look awful because the world drawing is limited to maybe 10-15 tiles from your characters position at the centre. From the 3rd person view this looks fine because you can only see 10-15 tiles away from your character. But in first person view you'd see a lot of black and a lot of objects popping into view. They could increase the draw distance but that would cause frame rate drops, as someone mentioned earlier, not only because of the increased number of polygons being drawn but also the larger amount of information the server has to provide you because you can see more players at once.

actually this runescape we are playing is runescape 3 and i dont think there will be a new rs anytime soon

Lol, wow dude. That idea got me thrilled. How awesome would it be? Though we do already have a similar one. It'd look great to see things in better scales and all that!!

Oh yeah, I do support. As long as they made it decent. Or at least give us more freedom with the camera controls.

Ah yes! 110% support from me here. I think first person is great, it would be good say if you wanted to roleplay like many people do on other MMORPGs. Like has already been said it would harder to do, but it would be a great expansion to the game. Could be a definite possibility, expect it would mean the game hogs more memory.
